The Excellent Co-operative Bank Limited formerely known as The Safe Co-operative Bank Ltd is serving the banking needs of the common man from the last four decades. During these years it has served thousands of customers.

It started in the year 1961 and its first branch was opened at Abdul Rehman Street, Mumbai. At present the bank is having four branches with 70 competent staff.

The bank is fully computerised with trained personnel. The staff is trained in Computers as well as in Co-operative Management.

The bank grants loan to the priority sectors as well as to the weaker sections of the society as per the R.B.I guidelines.

The bank has maintained its non performing assets (NPA %) at 13.18% as on 31st March 2008, of Total Advances, and net NPA as "NIL".

The bank maintains strong CRAR at 23.59% againts 9% as specified by RBI.

The bank hase been awarded "A" class audit classification by Statutory Auditors as on 31st March 2008.

The bank is having good network of Advances Recovery System and concrete steps are taken for the same.

The bank has very strong reserves, approximately to the tune of Rs. 2083.22 Lacs as on 31st March 2008., to meet the unavoidable circumstances of the bank.

The bank is paying maximum dividend i.e 15% to the share holders since last 10 years and hopes to maintain the same in future.
